Obituary of Doris Turnley
Doris P. Turnley, 91, of Reedsville, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Heartland of Preston County in Kingwood.
She was born in Preston County on April 19, 1924, a daughter of the late Cecile (Cobun) and the late Hugh Born.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Doris enjoyed attending church. She also enjoyed her time working on the farm.
Doris is survived by one daughter, Paula Croft and husband Dean of Reedsville; one son, Edward Turnley and wife Jean of Reedsville; five grandchildren, Deana Giuliani and husband Jeff, Aimee Lipscomb and husband Art, Cathy Helmick and husband Bill, Kimberly Adams and husband Mike and Charlotte Sue Workman and husband Bruce; nine great grandchildren, Alia Thomas, Eddie Adams, Vashalee and Corbin Lipscomb, Remington and Olyvea Helmick, Luc Giuliani and Whitney and Kaitlyn Workman; one great great grandson, Damian Thomas; one brother-in-law, Fred Turnley and two sisters-in-law, Lucille Turnley of Norwalk, OH and Ruth Turnley of Arthurdale.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur "Pete" Paul Turnley; great granddaughter, Bethany Workman; great great granddaughter, Alyssa Thomas; great grandson, Owen Helmick and one sister, Hazel Manier and husband Bud.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service time with Rev. Carl Trickett officiating. Interment will follow at the Arthurdale Cemetery.
