Obituary of Sharon Cottrell

Sharon Jean Cottrell, 65, of Morgantown, formerly of Masontown, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015 at home. Sharon was born in Morgantown on July 15, 1949, a daughter of the late Everett and Loretta (Glover) Hussing. She attended University High School. Sharon loved being with her family and playing bingo. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Sharon is survived by her husband of 40 years, Carl L. Cottrell; two daughters, Virginia Cottrell and partner Rusty Smeltzer of Masontown and Kathy Casteel and husband Jimmie of Masontown; two sons, Roger Johnson of Masontown and Harvey Johnson of Morgantown; two sisters, Jackie Teets and Carolyn Cale; four brothers, Danny Hussing , Bobby Hussing, Charles Hussing and Edward Hussing ; five grandchildren, Samatha Sell, Grace Johnson, Jeremy Casteel, Hunter Bee and Macy Johnson; two sisters-in-law, Carol Casto and Martha Cool and 17 nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Monday, June 22, 2015 from 4 pm until the 6 pm service time with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. There will be a memorial dinner at her home following the service. To honor Sharon's wishes cremation services will follow.
