Obituary of Tessie Loretta Gamble
Tessie Loretta Gamble, 88, of Masontown went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Monongalia General Hospital.
Tessie was born in Masontown on March 1, 1927, a daughter of the late Holbert B. and Gertie Belle (Radabaugh) Cale.
Tessie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Over the years she worked for the Colshire Pajama Factory, Sterling Faucet and Morgantown Glass Company. She was an active member of the Masontown Church of the Nazarene and truly loved her church family.
Tessie is survived by her husband of 63 years, Wayne "Pete" Gamble of Masontown; one son, David Gamble of Masontown; two daughters, Loretta Hamrick and husband Bruce of Morgantown and Debbie Gibson of Masontown; one sister, Hilda Chaplow of Youngstown, OH; three grandchildren, Christopher Hamrick, Stephanie Buckley and Amber Gamble and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers, Thurman Cale, Delmar Cale, Glen Cale and three infant brothers; three sisters, Merle Groves, Thelma Taylor and Margaret Howard and a granddaughter, Christie M. Hamrick.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Monday, December 7, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service time at the Masontown Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Edwin Spangler and Rev. Tim Heaney officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Masontown. A dinner will be held at the Fellowship Hall at the Masontown Church of the Nazarene following the committal service at the cemetery.
A special thank you is extended to Tammy Talley and the rest of the family for Tessie's special care during her illness. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Field Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
