Obituary of Dortha L Teets

Dortha "Dot" L. Teets, 97, of Kingwood, WV, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 25, 2024, with family by her side. She was born in Howesville, WV on September 11, 1926, a daughter of the late Barton Wiles and Marie (Miller) Preston. She loved coloring, puzzles, and playing with her fuzzy baby, Hadley. Dortha loved reading her Bible daily and knew she would see Jesus one day. She was always sweeping the floors and was teased often about being buried with a broom. She would say, "Buy me a new one, I don't want this old thing buried with me." Dortha was a loving, devoted mother to her five daughters: Carolyn and George Berkley of Clinton, MN, Sandra Klapper of Terra Alta, WV, Sue and Tim Herndon of Buchannon, WV, Debbie and Brad Keener of Rowlesburg, WV and Dottie and Charles Langford of Kingwood, WV; grandmother to her eight grandchildren: Tina Walker, Brian Davis, Chad Klapper, Jason Armentrout, Laura Hubbard, Tony Flores, Crystal Turner and Shawna Dixon; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She will be missed by many but is reunited with her fuzzy baby, Hadley; her mother and father, and three brothers. Friends may call at the Kingwood Christian Fellowship Church 18806 Veterans Memorial Highway, Kingwood, WV 26537 on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 11 am until the 1 pm time of service with Pastor Mike Matlick officiating.
