Burial location: Masontown Cemetery Notes: Richard “Sonny” Hall, 76, of Masontown , passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at home. He was born September 19, 1929 , in Buffington, PA, a son of the late James and Beatrice Abrams Hall. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Reedsville. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the West Virginia University where he worked at the Physical Plant and Knapp Hall. He is survived by a step-daughter, Margaret Emerson of Masontown; three sisters, Joann Boring and husband Junior of Masontown, Marlene Rohr of Masontown, and Betty Reed of Reedsville; four grandchildren, Scott Emerson, Robby Emerson, Teresia Emerson, and Heather Emerson. He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine Labroni Emerson Hall on July 17, 1992; a daughter, Monica Hall; a step-son, Larry Emerson; and a brother, James (Abe) Hall. Friends will be received at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8 pm and Wednesday, March 22, 2006 from noon till the 2pm service time with Pastor Terry Hagedorn officiating. Burial will follow at the Masontown Cemetery in Masontown, WV.
