Obituary of Daniel Herbert Greathouse

Daniel Herbert Greathouse, 70, of Masontown, WV, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, at home. He was born in Morgantown, WV, on November 12, 1953, a son of the late Ronald and Sally Virginia (Wolfe) Greathouse. Daniel loved spending time with family, especially his grandson. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Spencer) Greathouse; two sons, Daniel Scott Greathouse of Masontown, and Douglas Luke Greathouse of Ripley, WV; daughter, Sally Virginia Greathouse of Masontown; grandson, Daniel Allen Greathouse; brother, Ronnie Greathouse and wife, Phyllis of Masontown; brother-in-law, Calvin "Sonny" Wolfe of Masontown, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Daniel is preceded in death by a brother, Carlos "Bunk" Greathouse and a sister, Hazel Wolfe. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Field Funeral Home, 10537 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Masontown, WV 26542, to assist the family with Daniel's funeral expenses. In honor of Daniels wishes, the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV have been entrusted with cremation services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
