Obituary of Mary Margaret Plum

Mary Margaret Plum, 75, of Independence, WV, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born in Newburg, WV, on November 28, 1948, a daughter of the late Howard and Opal (Sine) Prentice Martin. Mary was employed at the FBI during her younger years. She was very active at the Gladesville Community Center, serving as the secretary, and was active with the school. She also sold Avon beauty products. Mary is survived by a son, Howard "Zack" Plum; nephew, Lynn Teets and wife Michelle; nieces, Mary Edith Johnson and husband Alan and Carol Frisby and husband Tom; great nephews, Gavin Teets and Roy Utt and fiancé Sherri; brother-in-law, Larry Teets, and special friends and neighbors, Susan Hunter, Ruth Enlow, and Doris Plum. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gene "Don" Plum in 2022; brother, George "Buddy" Prentice; and sisters, Mary Cunningham and Betty Bargess. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home, in Masontown, WV, on Monday, April 29, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 pm, 6:00-8:00 pm, and on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 11:00 am until the 12:00 pm time of service with pastor Marty Turner officiating.
