He was born September 11, 1945 in Mt. Pleasant, PA, the son of the late Benjamin and Georgia Swift Higgins. He worked at J B Gas gas station in Reedsville and attended the Community Presbyterian Church in Arthurdale. George is survived by his wife, Phyllis ( Marcia ) Percival Higgins; a daughter and spouse, Sherry & Rick Gohl of Germany; one son, Daniel Linderman of Glen Allen, VA; 10 grandsons; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Armstrong in 2004.
