Obituary of James Nice

James Steven (Jimmie) Nice, 34, of Independence, died Thursday, November 17, 2011, unexpectedly at his home. He was born in Morgantown on October 30, 1977, the son of James H. Nice of Independence and Karen Sue Taylor Nice of Masontown. He had worked at 3-D Drilling, Heritage Site Development and the Sheltered Workshop. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Cody William Nice of Reedsville; two brothers, Jeremy Allen Nice of Morgantown, and Jerome Thomas Nice; several aunts and uncles; and one nephew, Alexander “Xander” Nice. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lela Nice and James Nice Sr; maternal grandparents, Maxine & Lawrence Taylor; a cousin, Thomas Richard Nice, Jr; and an uncle, Donald Lee Taylor. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Sunday November 20, 2011 from 11 to 1 p.m.,where services will be held 1 p.m. with Pastor Derek Syruws officiating.
