Obituary of David Nuce
David Paul Nuce, 73, of Oakland, MD and formerly of Masontown, WV, passed away on January 23, 2009 at Frostburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Frostburg, MD.
He was born May 10, 1935 in Masontown, WV, the son of the late Howard and Pauline Metheny Nuce.
He worked for Sterling Faucet and was a heavy equipment operator for Patriot Mining and Dipple & Dipple Mining. He owned and operated Daves Tractor and Supply for many years.
David was a 1953 graduate of Masontown High School and he was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Masontown.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nettie Alice Gibson Nuce; four daughters and spouses, Anita and Dan Lewellen of Frostburg, MD, Sherry and Tim Taylor of Oakland, MD, Debra and Bruce Cooke of Uniontown, PA, and Nancy and Bruce Taylor of Boise, ID; two sisters and spouses Shirley and Joseph Field of Masontown, and Jean and Don McClure of Masontown; and seven grandchildren, Scott Hunter Bonnette, Chase Mackenzie Bonnette, Bryce Wilson Taylor, Casey Lee Taylor, Brodie Allan Cooke, Nathaniel Clarke Taylor, and Colin Nuce Taylor.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home on Saturday, January 24, 2009 from 6pm - 9pm. Services will be held 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Herring, WV with the Pastor Terry Hagedorn officiating.
Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Herring.
