We send our deepest sympathy to Foster's family. I knew Foster as a small child as he was the neighbor of my grandfather, Clyde Hartsell back in the 1950's; Goldie Phillips was my mother. You're in our prayers.

The Terry Fairbanks family: posted a condolence
Saturday, April 14, 2007
To the family of Foster Shaffer Foster was the sweetest man, Terry and I dearly loved him. What a great example for Christ, Foster was to all of us at the Masontown Church. We had not seen Foster for a few years but each of my children and grandchildren, remember him fondly. They have forgotten many people at Masontown but immediately remembered Foster; that was because he was so kind to all of us and always had a beautiful smile and a good word for each of us..., even the children. Foster never forgot to give Terry an encouraging word or to give me a hug and when he raised a garden he brought us the 'best' of his bounty. Some people give left overs from their garden but not Foster; he only gave away the 'best' vegetables. When I tried to repay him, Foster always told me he was 'storing up treasures in Heaven' and now, I know, Foster will be greatly rewarded. Gods blessings to your wonderful family, Love, Judy Fairbanks
