Zion Cemetery Notes: James Wayne Shaffer, age 48, beloved husband and brother, of Masontown, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, January 4, 2008 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born in Masontown, WV on June 11, 1959, the son of the late James W. and Louetta D. (Taylor) Shaffer. He was employed as a truck driver for Dan Shaffer and an electrician for Mark Shaffer. He is survived by his wife Beulah (Goff) Shaffer; five sisters, Judy and Doug Stonebraker of Reedsville, Loraine L. Barker of Cleveland, OH, Mary L. Shaffer of Masontown, Cora Lee Mitts and companion Danny “Huck” Hussing of Masontown, Nellie and Ward Williams of Masontown; three brothers, Eugene and Bonnie Shaffer of Hartford, TN, Roy and Barbara Taylor of Frederick, Md and Wayne (Butch) and Jenny Upole both of Masontown; four step daughters, Julie Nutter of Morgantown, Susan Miller of Masontown, Lydia and Eric Mayne of Kingwood and Elizabeth Upole and companion Jeremiah Born of Reedsville; five step grandchildren, Timothy Field, Christopher Shaffer, Kayla Shaffer, Tyler Mayne and Joshua Nutter; 29 nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; one great great nephew and special friends Jimmy and Regina Wilson, Mark Shaffer and Huck Hussing. He was preceded in death by a step granddaughter, Jessica Sutton, his granny, Cora Taylor and a nephew Edward W. Gibson. Cremation services will be provided by the Field Funeral Home in Masontown.
