He was born on April 11, 1922 in Stemple Ridge, Aurora, WV, a son of the late Charles Martin and Lillian Magnalena Warner Stemple. He was a loving husband, enjoyed farming and loved the outdoors. He was employed with the Sanitary Water Works in Morgantown, WV, a veteran of the United States Army and Protestant by faith. He is survived by one brother, Melvin “Jake” Stemple of Oakland, MD and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Morgan Stemple on November 27, 2005. He also was preceded in death by five brothers, Joseph, Thurston, Ishmael, Vincent and Clifford Stemple and five sisters, Eula Knotts, Mildred Stemple, his twin sister, Nola Comas, Bertie Smith and Iva Stemple. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home on Sunday, June 8, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. and on Monday, June 9, 2008 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Services will be held at the Field Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 with the Rev.
