Herbert Thomas Viewing times: Monday September 22, 2008 form 6 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday September 23, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral time: Wednesday September 24, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Burial location: Damon Cemetery Notes: Herbert Dale “Herb” Thomas, 49, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008 at his home. He was born in Kingwood, WV, on June 15, 1959, the son of the late Oliver Bud Thomas and Leona Hillery Powell. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was owner and operator of Target Contracting, and was well known in the community. He is survived by his wife Shari Kerr Thomas, two daughters, Ashley Gibson, and husband Jeremy of Reedsville and Sabrina Thomas of Masontown; two sons, Joshua Thomas of Memphis, TN and Corey Kisner of Masontown; three sisters, Carolyn Zeigler of Kingwood, Brenda Thomas of Reedsville, and Lisa Shaffer and husband Dave, of Arthurdale; three brothers and spouses, Earl and Paula Kelly of Reedsville, Eugene and Janie Thomas of Reedsville, Rick and Gloria Thomas of Morgantown; a stepfather, Gene Powell of Reedsville, a grandson, Caden Gibson and several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Thomas and a brother, Michael Thomas. Friends will be received at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Monday, September 22, 2008 from 6-9 pm and on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Services will be held at 1pm, Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Damon Cemetery in Newburg.
