Obituary of Johnny Titus

Johnny Alan Titus, age 68, of Arthurdale, WV, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009 at his home in Arthurdale. He was born May 4, 1940 in West Mansfield, OH, a son of the late Johnny C and Doris Meddles Titus. He worked for JW Ruby at the Turkey Farm in Arthurdale, and also Sterling Faucet in Reedsville, prior to starting his own business. He owned and operated the Reedsville Dairy Queen for many years, until he retired in 1997. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and enjoyed flying airplanes in his free time. He is survived by his daughter, Dee Titus and spouse Colby Powell of Morgantown; two sons, Charles and spouse Burma Titus of Morgantown, and Johnny Titus and companion Barb Cadamus, of Morgantown; two sisters, Noel Borgen of Sequim, Washington and Fran Blosser of Tunnelton; one brother, Richard Titus of Elkins, WV; twelve grandchildren, Jonathan Titus, Matthew Titus, Travis Titus, Joshua Titus, Cecile Titus, Mandy Titus, Destiny Titus, Jairus Laraway, Alex Simpson, Megan Powell, Jenny Powell, and Renee Powell; two great grandchildren, Sarah Titus and Evan Titus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jeannine Woodall. Cremation services will be provided by the Field Funeral home in Masontown. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at the Masontown Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Robert Ringer officiating.
