Obituary of Donald Turner

Donald Bradley "Beany" Turner, 63, of Masontown, WV, passed away Thursday, March 15 at his residence. He was born in Morgantown, on May 2, 1948, a son of the late Clara Alice Stafford and Roy Donald Turner. Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He owned and operated Donald B. Turner Trucking Company for over 30 years and served in the U.S. Army in the Korean DMZ. Dedication to his family and friends were always his priority. He especially loved to spend time watching his grandkids grow. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Roxie Ann Soccorsi Turner; a daughter, Tracey Park and husband Brian of Masontown; a son,Travis Turner and wife Mary Anne of Masontown; a sister, Cathy Everly and husband Mark of Reedsville; five brothers, Larry Turner and wife Barbara, of Masontown; Sam Turner and wife Gina of Masontown, Jeffery Turner and wife Robin of Twin Lakes, GA, Kramer Turner and wife Amy of Glades Hill, VA, and Danny Turner and wife Carol of Masontown; two uncles; Alexander "Buck" Turner and wife Shirley, and Fred Turner Jr. and wife Grace; one aunt, Doris Roby; four grandchildren; Kylie Park, Hayden Park, Jackson Turner, and Bailey Turner; brother in law, Rick Soccorsi and wife Karen; 14 nieces and nephews; Julie, Sheri, Rodney, Anthony, Yendame, Aubre, Melissa, Nikki, Amanda, Rebecca, Roy, Ryan, Laci and Heather; and his best friend and dog Wrinkles. He was preceded in death by his father in law and mother in law, Harry and Helen Soccorsi; and many aunts and uncles. Cremation services will be provided. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home on Friday March 23, 2012 from 3 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday March 24, 2012 from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. service time with the Pastor Wallace "Tex" Mitchell III officiating.
