Harold Watkins Nick name: 'Pee Wee' Viewing times: Wednesday July 23, 2006 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral time: Wednesday July 23, 2006 8:00 p.m. Burial location: cremation services Notes: Harold “Pee Wee” “Pooch” Watkins, Sr., age 79, of Newburg died Sunday, July 23, 2006 at home. He was born October 15, 1926, in Morgantown, WV, a son of the late Herman and Rosa McCrobie Watkins. He served in the US Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was a coal miner and worked in several of the local mines. He enjoyed farming. He is survived by three sons and spouses, Harold Watkins Jr, Rodger and Phyllis “Woody” Watkins, and Timothy Watkins all of Newburg; three daughters and spouses, Kathy and Larry Blaney of Harpers Ferry, WV, Willa and Arlie Sigley of Bruceton Mills, and Chris and Lonnie Carr of Rowlesburg; three sisters, Clara Haskiel of Kingwood, Floretta Holmes of Blacksville and Helen Haskiel of Ohio; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Helen M. Watkins on June 11, 2002; an infant brother; four sisters, Ruth Fulk, Mabel Plum, Mary Pauline Jeffrey and Genevieve Evans. Friends will be received at the Field Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 26, 2006, from 6 until the 8pm service time, conducted by the Jehovah Witnesses with Charles Jackson officiating.
