Obituary of Grayson Butcher

Grayson Butcher passed peacefully in the arms of his family on June 11, 2009. He was born at 5:17 pm and met the eyes of Jesus after one unforgettable hour at 6:20pm the same day. Grayson was the treasured son of Amanda Nida and Jason Butcher and the “wished for” brother of Adrianna Butcher all of Morgantown, WV. He is the grandson of Verlin M. Butcher and Rose Boggs and the great grandson of Rev. Verlin and Roberta Butcher of Clintonville, WV. He is survived by an uncle, Daniel Boggs of Clintonville in addition to many great uncles, aunts, and cousins who anxiously awaited his arrival. Visitation will be held at the Sunrise United Methodist Church in Clintonville, WV, Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. A Service of Death and Resurrection will follow at 1:00pm with the Rev. Dr. Lynn Cartwright officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Cemetery. Field Funeral Home in Masontown is in charge of arrangements. The family would like to thank the staff at West Virginia University Hospital NICU for the incredible care provide to Grayson and the entire family. Memorial donations may be made to the West Virginia University Children’s Hospital in memory of Grayson, and would be appreciated by the family.
