Obituary of Daniel Field
Daniel "Chick" Wilson Field, 79 of Reedsville passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Reedsville on July 7, 1932 a son of the late Goldie Neff and Charles Field. He was employed in the landscaping industry and as a laborer with the Local #379 in Morgantown. He also served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by a daughter, Doris Locklear of Baltimore, MD; a son, Kenneth Field of Hedgesville, WV; three sisters, Sandra Goodwin and husband Glenn of Reedsville, Betty Reed, of AK; and Brenda Cagle and husband David of Murfreesboro, TN; two brothers, Prentis Field and wife Willie Field of Benton, AK and Donald Field and companion Jan of Morgantown, WV; 12 grandchildren, 29 great great grandchildren, six great great great grandchildren and several step children and step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bertha Field; three children, George Field, Verna Spence and James Field; three sisters and seven brothers.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, June 15, 2012 from 2 P.M. to 9 P.M. Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Funeral Home with Pastor Marshall Woods officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Kingwood. Military rites will be conducted by the Preston County VFW Honor Guard, WVANG Honor Guard and the Preston County Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 977.
