Obituary of Edith Snyder

Edith Gray Snyder, 68, of Masontown, WV, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Morgantown. She was born in Fayetteville, NC, on April 8, 1944, a daughter of the late Betty Alleane Simmons Melvin and Henry Melvin. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a member of Masontown Baptist Church where she served as Secretary of the Sunday school. She is survived by three daughters, Michelle Williams and husband Michael of Tunnelton, WV, Debra Riggin and husband Jeff of Uniontown, Pa and Connie Wolfe and husband Bruce of Uniontown, PA; one son, Gene Snyder and wife Kari Beth of Chambersburg, PA; two sisters, Latrisha Greenier and husband  Ray of Fayetteville, NC and  Lettie Mae Roberts and husband Freeman of Gainsville, FL; one brother, Eugene Melvin and wife Betty of Fayetteville, NC; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis Snyder; one sister, Dorothy Hobbs, and three brothers; Wesley Melvin, J.R. Melvin and Joe Melvin. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Monday, August 6, 2012 5-8 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Winston officiating.
