Obituary of Erma Summers

Erma Raye Summers, 73, of Arthurdale passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at her home after a brief illness with family by her side. She was born in Morgantown on July 28, 1939, a daughter of the late Beatrice N. (Calvert) and Ray F. Spangler. Erma worked as an office manager for PSD#2 for many years and was a member of the Gladesville Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dixon Summers; a daughter, Naola Clark and husband Greg of Bruceton Mills; a son, Randy Summers and wife Donna of Arthurdale; a sister, Donna Rehe of Masontown; four grandchildren, Megan Clark, Tyler Clark, Cordell Summers and Madison Summers and two great grandchildren, Hunter Partridge and Cole Pretzel. Erma is preceded in death by a sister, Clara Jean Spangler and a brother, Frank Spangler. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home Friday, August 31, 2012 from 2-8 pm. To honor Erma's request cremation will follow. A private family service will be held at a later time.
