Obituary of Glenn Welch
Glenn Watson Welch, 88, of Albright, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012 at his home surrounded by family and friends.
He was born in Albright on April 14, 1924 a son of the late Omer and Violet Everly Welch.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all. He was still actively working on the family farm which he loved dearly. He retired from the Preston County Board of Education Maintenance Department after many years of service. He also drove truck for several years prior.
He is survived by one son, Edward Welch and wife Carolyn of Kingwood; two daughters, Patricia Rodeheaver and husband James of Bruceton Mills; and Phyllis Stanton and husband Rod of Albright; one sister, Evelyn Welch and husband Hugh of Kingwood, one brother, Harold Welch and wife Ruth of Kingwood; four grandchildren and spouses; Jessica Tice and husband John of Charleston, WV; Travis Welch and wife Kelly of Reedsville, Jason Rodeheaver of Bruceton Mills and Amber Rose Rodeheaver of Bruceton Mills; and three great grandchildren, Ella Tice, Ben Tice and Aubrey Welch.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rosealee Awman Welch and a dear friend Pauline Nuce.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Monday, October 29, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m and on Sundayday, November 4, 2012 from 1 p.m. until the 2 pp.m. service time with Rev. Mike Argabrite officiating. Interment will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery in Kingwood. Donations may be made in his memory to the Albright Volunteer Fire Department
