Obituary of Charlotte Sylvester

Charlotte Ann Sylvester, 84, of Masontown, WV joined her husband of over 60 years, Emilio "Timber" Sylvester, in Heaven on Sunday, October 28, 2012. She was born August 30, 1928, the daughter of Otis and Edith Frankhouser Shay. She was a kind, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to those who knew and loved her. She always put others before herself. A major part of her died with the passing of her loving husband in 2006. Charlotte is survived by her two children Tim Sylvester and wife Trudy of Kingwood and Cathy Calvert and husband Jim of Masontown; grandson Chris Calvert and wife Tammy and great grandson Andrew Calvert of Morgantown; two grandsons Matthew Calvert of Masontown and Brandon Sylvester of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one granddaughter, Courtney Sylvester of Kingwood and a brother Otis Shay Jr. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 10 am until the 1 pm service time with Pastor Bill Walker officiating. Interment to follow at the Masontown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations are sent in Charlotte's name to the Betty Puskar Center, 1 Medical Center Drive, PO Box 8064, Morgantown, WV 26506. The family especially thanks Amy Hawkins Shrout, Bobby Shrout, children Zachary and Colton and Amy's parents Donna and Wayne Hawkins all from Newburg, for all the love and special care given to Mom and for making her a family member for the past two years.
