Obituary of Harold Lipscomb
Harold B. "Mac" Lipscomb, 63, of Reedsville, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born in Morgantown on July 31, 1949, a son of the late Olive (Bauer) and Delbert Lipscomb.
He was a loving husband, father and brother. Harold owned and operated Kingwood Glass and Lipscomb Trucking. He loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Harold was a member of the VFW Post #1589 in Masontown. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Harold is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Tenney) Lipscomb; a son, Ryan Lipscomb of Reedsville; two sisters, Marsha Fisher and husband James of Westover and Barbara Lipscomb of Reston, VA and several nieces and nephews, Debbie Ganon, Mark Fisher, James Fisher, Bree Glover and Anissa Glover.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Services will be held at the funeral home at 1 pm Friday, May 3, 2013 with Rev. David Spence officiating. Interment will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Reedsville. Military rites will be conducted by the Preston County VFW Honor Guard, WVANG Honor Guard, and the Preston County Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 977.
