Obituary of Delores Beattie
Delores Janet Beattie, 78, of Reedsville passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Booth, WV on September 19, 1935, a daughter of the late Elsie L. (Steele) and Frank Shingleton.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Delores enjoyed traveling and camping at Big Bear Lake. She also enjoyed working puzzles and doing bead work.
Delores is survived by a son, David Conner and fiancée Margaret McCauley, of Masontown, PA; three daughters, Tammy Tasker and husband Randy of Reedsville, WV, Mary Kay Myers and companion Mark Bailey of McClellandtown, PA, and Sharon Beattie of Reedsville, WV; a step daughter Kim Py and husband Allen of Virginia Beach VA; a step son, David Beattie, of Uniontown, PA; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and her two beloved cats, Jessie and Joey.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sherman Richard Beattie; a daughter, Kathy Jo Conner; a brother, Dorsey Shingleton and wife Dorothy and a sister, Isabelle Phillips and husband Howard.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.. Services will be held at the Field Funeral Home is Masontown, WV on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Interment will follow at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover, WV.
