Obituary of Frances Cale

Frances Kathleen Gamble Cale, 91, of Masontown, passed away Wednesday September 25, 2013 at Heartland of Preston County with her family by her side. She was born April 6, 1922 in Masontown a daughter of the late Minnie Neff Gamble and Russell Gamble. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She worked for 16 years at Sterling Faucet and was a member of the Masontown Nazarene Church. Frances served in the church in many different capacities from the early days working with the young, church secretary, Sunday school secretary and treasurer and serving on the church board. She enjoyed being a part of everything in the church. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, bird watching, and making quilts. She was very meticulous in everything she did. She is survived by one daughter, Naoma Kay Bolyard and husband Wilbert of Tunnelton; three sons, Russell Blaine Cale and wife Velma of Masontown, Larry Lee Cale and wife Freda of Norwich, CT and Melvin Glenn Cale of Logansport, IN; three sisters, Myrtle Calvert of Kingwood, Jeanette Stull of Kingwood, and Dolly Cale of Masontown; two brothers, Calvin Gamble of Kingwood and Wayne Gamble and wife Tessie of Masontown; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Bolyard of Morgantown, Nathan Bolyard and wife Carolyn of Tunnelton, Cheryl Warman and husband Bill of Morgantown, Vincent Cale and wife Lori of Kingwood, Lisa Gilcrease and husband Ernie of MO, Lynn Cannamela of CT, six great grandchildren; Greg Bolyard of Morgantown, Patrick Bolyard of Morgantown, Lori Haught and husband Wesley of Tunnelton, Lindsay Knotts of Washington, DC, Kayla Knotts of CT, and Zach Knotts of Morgantown; five great great grandchildren, Lillian Bolyard of Morgantown, Peyton Bolyard of Morgantown, Isaac Haught of Tunnelton, Destiny Haught of Tunnelton, and Bentleigh Bolyard of Morgantown; two sisters-in-law, Hilda Chaplow of OH and Wilma Gamble of Masontown; two brothers-in-law; Elmer Taylor of Masontown and Bob Taylor of Morgantown; several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and step great great grandchildren and lots of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Evans Cale; three brothers, William Gamble, Dallas Gamble and Cecil Gamble; and six sisters, Dorothy Taylor, Maxine Hawley, Murle Ennix, Opal Cale, Stella Sanchaze, and Jean Stull; daughter in law Donna Cale, grandson Christopher Blaine Cale and great grandson Alexander Goyette. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Saturday September 28, 2013 from 12 noon to 9 p.m. and Sunday September 29, 2013 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service time at the Masontown Nazarene Church with the Rev. Edwin Spangler and Tim Heaney officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Kingwood. Condolences may be extended online to the family at www.fieldfuneralhome.com.
