Obituary of Mitchel Funk

Mitchel Ray Funk, Sr., 62, of Reedsville, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a loving father and grandfather. He worked as a coal miner and also drove a truck over the road and locally. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a Cpl. during the Vietnam Era. Mitchel was born in Grafton on December 8, 1950, a son of the late Betty L. (Tripplett) and Richard P. Funk, Sr. He is survived by two sons, Mitch Funk and wife Melody and Ricky Funk and wife Tanya; five grandchildren, Shonna, Shaniah, Kyle, Buggy and Cody; one brother, Richard "Skip" Paul Funk, Jr.; one sister, Diane Wolfe and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Nine. In honoring Mitch's wishes cremation services will be provided by Field Funeral Home and a private family service will be held at a later date.
