Obituary of Roger May
Roger Lee May, 66, of Masontown, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at his home.
He was born in Masontown, on September 7, 1947, a son of the late Lula E. (Jackson) and Walter B. May.
He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He was an avid hunter, Mountaineer fan, Pirates fan and bowler.
Roger is survived by one son, Benjamin May and wife Lori of Morgantown; one daughter, Heather Wolfe and husband Charles of Morgantown; four grandsons, Christian Wolfe, Joshua May, Nathaniel Wolfe and Jackson May; six sisters, Fanny Kleps of Genova, OH, Phyllis Shaffer and husband Burton of Masontown, Janet Shaffer and husband Butch of Masontown, Judy Johnson of Masontown, Susan Greaser and husband Greg of Kingwood and Joyce Cottrell and husband Pee Wee of Masontown; two brothers, Clifford May of Morgantown and Walter May and wife Mary of Arthurdale; one brother-in-law, Dan Shaffer of Masontown; two sisters-in-law; Anna May and Carolyn May and many special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, David May and Robert May; one sister, Betty Lula Shaffer; one brother-in-law, William Kleps and one sister-in-law, Edna May.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. James Weber officiating. Interment will follow at the East Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown.
