Obituary of Sheila Grace Haney
Sheila Grace Haney, 56, of Kingwood passed away Friday, August 28, 2015 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
She was born in Morgantown on March 26, 1959, a daughter of Harry Fields III of Kingwood and the late Lena May Fields.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She was a life-long resident of Preston County. She graduated from Valley High School in 1977. She was a member of the Kanes Creek United Methodist Church and the Kanes Creek United Methodist Church Woman's Group. She was the executive director of the Preston County Chamber of Commerce and was very active in the community. She also served on the boards of the Greater Morgantown Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Preston County Sheltered Workshop. She was always willing to lend a helping hand in many other community organizations and events.
In addition to her father, Sheila is survived by her husband, Larry Haney of Kingwood; daughter, Laura Haney of Bruceton Mills; two sons, Logan Haney and wife Rhiana of Tall Timbers, MD and Garrett Haney of Kingwood; two sisters, Sharon McMillen and husband Pat of Cheat Lake and Jacquelyn Shay and husband Jim of Kingwood; a brother, Gerald Newsome and wife Diane of Reedsville and two grandchildren, Dryver Stone and Emery Haney.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Richard Newsome.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 4-8 pm and Monday, August 31, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Kanes Creek United Methodist Church in Kingwood on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 11 am with Pastor John Brosky officiating. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Herring.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Preston County Chamber of Commerce, 200 W. Main Street, Kingwood, WV 26537.
