Obituary of Allen Deavers

Allen Earl Deavers, 68, of Morgantown, WV, passed away on Sunday, May 3rd, 2009 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born September 15, 1940 in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late Howard (Buck) and Mamie Martin Deavers. He worked most of his career in the food service industry. He spent several years working for G. C. Murphy’s Co. as a restaurant manager opening several restaurants throughout the state of WV. He was last employed by Hopemont State Hospital in Terra Alta. He is survived by a son, Christopher Allen Deavers and spouse Jody of Masontown; a daughter Tracie Lynn Deavers, of Fairmont; four grandchildren, Ashley Deavers, Dallas Marie Paugh, Heather Marie Buchanan, and Wyatt Christopher Deavers; two sisters, Katherine Lowther and Pamela Deavers of Morgantown; five brothers, Robert Deavers and spouse Peg of Morgantown, Daniel Deavers of Detroit, MI, Larry Deavers and spouse Janet of Tampa, FL, Roger Deavers of Morgantown, and Cecil Deavers and spouse Nina, of Fairmont, WV; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three bothers, Howard Deavers Jr, James Deavers and Arthur Deavers. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV on Thursday, May 7, 2009 from 5 - 8pm. Cremation Services will be provided by the Field Funeral home.
