Obituary of Frank Alan LaRue

Frank Alan LaRue, 64, of Independence, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2016 at home. He was born in Kingwood, WV on September 25, 1951, a son of the late Ray and Eleanor (Collins) LaRue. Frank was a loving father and grandfather. He worked for 12 years at Superior Fiber, LLC , formerly Fibair. Frank enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping, hunting and fishing but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters. He is survived by his ex wife and good friend, Robin LaRue of Independence; a daughter, Amy E. LaRue of Reedsville; a son, Robert Alan LaRue and his companion, Karen Sapp and her children William and Stacy of Gladesville; four brothers, Paul LaRue and wife Kathy of St. Louis, MO, James LaRue and companion Darla Sanders of Arthurdale, Danny LaRue and wife Kathy of Philadelphia, PA and Ralph LaRue of Masontown; a sister, Ellen Everson and husband John of Surf Side, SC; three grandchildren, Destiny Dawn Cale and companion Christopher Miller, Alisha Lee Sypolt, and Patience Sky Marks; brothers and sisters-in-law, Linda Beeman, Janie and Gene Thomas, Joyce Sypolt, Richard Spiker and Larry Spiker; several nieces and nephews and his loving dog Midget. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sandra LaRue and Judith Albright and his dear friend, Denny Spencer Sr. Friends may call at Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Norma Stimmell officiating. Interment will follow at the Gladesville Cemetery in Gladesville. Memorial donations may be made to Field Funeral Home, 10537 Veterans Memorial Hwy. Masontown, WV 26542 to help with funeral expenses.
