Obituary of Wayne Carr

Wayne Carr, age 71, of Apache Junction, AZ, passed away May 3, 2016 at his home. He was born July 10, 1944 in Masontown, PA to Ray Carr and Ethel Richards Carr. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, the former Jenny Haymond. In addition to his wife, he is survived by brothers, Sonny Carr and wife Maxine and Don Carr and wife Martha of Buckhannon WV and several nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by sisters, Jean Taylor and Evelyn King, and father and mother-in-law Arden and Mazie Haymond. Wayne was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country in Vietnam. To honor his wishes, he was cremated and will be laid to rest in the Masontown Cemetery in Masontown, WV. A memorial service will be held Saturday Sept 3,2016 at 10:30 am at the Rock Cave Independent Baptist Church in Rock Cave, WV with the Reverend David Jessie officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Masontown Cemetery at 2 pm. Military rites will be conducted by the Preston County VFW Honor Guard, WVANG Honor Guard, and the Preston County Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 977.
