Eugene Dillsworth Nick name: 'Gene' Viewing times: Monday November 20, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral time: Tuesday November 21, 2006 at 10 a.m. Burial location: Bethlehem Cemetery Notes: Eugene “Gene” Dillsworth, 56, of Kingwood went to be with the Lord on Nov. 17, 2006 due to a long struggle with cancer. He was born July 8, 1950 in Rowlesburg, a son of Harry Dillsworth of Tunnelton and the late Lucille Hixenbaugh Dillsworth. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a construction worker and coal miner for many years. Gene loved to take walks with his seeing eye dog, Simon, everyday. He is survived by his wife, of 34 years, Deborah Uphold Dillsworth; two daughters and spouses, Tara and Ken Cozad of Kingwood and Kayla and Robert Hess at home; three sons and spouses, Gene Jr. and Ann Dillsworth, Joshua and Crystal Dillsworth all of Kingwood, and Eric Dillsworth at home; five brothers and spouses, Robert Lee and Shirley Dillsworth of Reedsville, Ronald Dillsworth, Roger and Betty Dillsworth all of Tunnelton, Gregory and Mandy Dillsworth of Kingwood, nine sisters and spouses, Genevieve Sigley, Joyce and Russell Beavers all of Reedsville, Carol and Rich Radabaugh of Masontown, Linda and Roy Bolyard, Willavene and Jack Farley all of Tunnelton, Brenda and Doug Kelly of Kingwood, Debra and Scott Nicholson of Shenandoah, VA, Mary and Gary Street, Wanda and Roger Street all of Newburg; mother in-law, Donna and spouse Robert Shrout of Albright, WV. Gene loved his six grandchildren; Brianne and Chelsie Dillsworth, MaKenna and Peyton Cozad, Shelby and Landon Dillsworth all of Kingwood. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by two sisters; Wilma Lantz and Rosalee Williams; and two brothers, William Allen Dillsworth Sr., and Leonard Dillsworth. The family would like to thank Dr. Auber and the entire staff at the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center. Friends will be received at the Field Funeral Home on Monday, November 20, 2006, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Services will be held at 10am on Tuesday, November 21, 2006, at the Funeral Home with the Pastor Derek Syruws officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Reedsville.
