Obituary of Malissa Sue Guthrie

Malissa Sue Guthrie, 44, of Bruceton Mills, formerly of Masontown, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 in Bruceton. She was born in Morgantown, WV on April 5, 1972, daughter of the late James W. and Norma J. (White) McGinnis. She was a loving wife, mother and sister. Malissa graduated from West Preston High School. Malissa is survived by her husband, Andrew Guthrie; one son, James R. McGinnis of Bruceton Mills; one daughter, Kelly Lynn Guthrie of Bruceton Mills; two sisters, Dorotha Cogar and husband Dale of Front Royal, VA and Katherine McGinnis of Terra Alta; four brothers, James G. McGinnis and wife Valerie of Masontown, Joseph McGinnis and wife Patty of Bretz, Russell McGinnis and wife Carrie of Kingwood and Robert McGinnis and wife Cheryl of Victoria, TX; her father in law, Ezra "Pap" Guthrie and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Justin Grant Guthrie. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until the 5:00 p.m. time of service with Rev. Tommy McGinnis officiating.
