Obituary of Shirley Dunn

Shirley M. Dunn, 77, of near Somerset, OH, formerly of Masontown, W.Va., died at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009 at her residence. Shirley was born August 13, 1931 in Preston County, W.Va., the daughter of the late Fred and Pluma White Turner. She was an avid Bingo player. Surviving are her husband, Donald B. Dunn of the home; eleven children, Cindy, Joyce, Diane, Hurl, Dan, Phyllis, Bonnie, Linda, Micki, Mike and Mark; 26 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fred “Bink” and Alex “Buck” Turner; two sisters, Doris “Bestest Friend” Roby and Dorothy “Chug” Thrasher; and like family, Lucy Lawson and Jeff Hightshoe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie; one grandson, Shaun; four brothers, Kramer, Herbert “Windy”, Roy “Beanie” and Bob Turner; and two sisters, Rilla Rehe and Pluma Boyles. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset, OH and at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV on Monday, April 13, 2009 from Noon until the 2:00 pm service.
