Obituary of Ricky E. Johnson

Ricky Eugene "Doughboy" Johnson, 55, of Masontown, passed away, Wednesday, August 22, 2018 unexpectedly at his home.

He was born in Morgantown on March 16, 1963 a son of Anna M. Shaffer Johnson of Masontown and the late Maurice (Reace) Johnson.

He was a loving husband and father. He was a truck driver for most of his life and later owned and operated his own company, Snake Hill Trucking. He enjoyed riding his Harley and spending special time with his granddaughter, Abigail and his beloved dog Sissy.

Ricky is survived by his wife Patty Burns Johnson; one son, Ricky Johnson and wife Carrie; a daughter Nicole Johnson and companion Nathan Thomas; two brothers, Mike Johnson and wife Jennifer and Jerry "Oogie" Johnson and wife Dana, all of Masontown; one sister, Kathy Klein and husband Ben of Cleveland, OH; three grandchildren, Abigail Thomas, Kiley Cole and Devyn Knotts; 17 nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Maurice (Reace) Johnson; one brother, Robert Johnson; mother and father in law, Patricia and Raymond Burns; sister in law, Diane Alkire and three uncles.

Friends may call at Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 3 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service time with Rev. Marvin Shaffer officiating. To honor his wishes he will then be cremated.
