Obituary of Paula Jean Montgomery

Paula Jean Montgomery, 58, of Masontown, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Morgantown, on April 22, 1960, a daughter of Rebecca (Core) Shackelford of Masontown and the late Joseph Montgomery.

She was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother. She served her country in the United States Air Force.

Paula is survived by her mother and step-father, Rebecca and William "Bill" Shackelford of Masontown; one daughter, Tara St. Clair and husband Frankie of Masontown; two sons, James Rodeheaver and Travis Rodeheaver, both of Morgantown; daughter in love, Amber Sphar; 8 grandchildren, Isaac Woods, Evan Woods, Frankie St. Clair, Annamae St. Clair, Matthew Sphar, Cayden Sphar, Tyler Sphar and Khloe Sphar; three brothers, Joseph Montgomery II of Morgantown, John Montgomery of Morgantown, and William Montgomery of Masontown; a great aunt, Doris McNaughton of Masontown; aunts and uncles, Calvin and Kathy Montgomery of Masontown, Danny and Donna Montgomery of Masontown, Kim Lanham of Morgantown and Lisa Core of Morgantown; a step grandmother, Carole Core of Safety Harbor, FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister Rayne Sue (Montgomery) Hutson; a grandmother, Betty Westenfelder; a grandfather, Richard Core; grandparents, Joseph F. and Dorothea Montgomery and a cousin, Connie Foret.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Monday February 18, 2019 from 3pm until the 8 pm service time with Rev. Mike Harriman officiating.

To honor her wishes she will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Field Funeral Home, 10537 Veterans Memorial Hwy., Masontown, WV 26542, to help the family with funeral expenses.
