Obituary of Eugene Francis Mitter

Eugene "Joker" Francis Mitter, 64, of Masontown, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Pine Ridge Nursing Home. He was born in Grafton, on October 27, 1954, a son of the late Earl and Betty (Bolyard) Mitter. Joker enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping. He was a graduate of Newburg High School and was employed by MS&T rafting company for 20 years and S&W Industries as a truck driver for 16 years. He is survived by two sons, Jeremy Mitter and wife Betsy of Masontown, Brandon Mitter and wife Christina of Newburg; a daughter, Christina Nicole Raines and husband Justin of Masontown; two grandchildren, Brandon Mitter II and Ryder Raines; two step grandchildren, Kaylee Henigin and John Miklos; two brothers, Aaron Mitter and wife Virginia of Newburg and Brian Mitter and wife Georgianna of Masontown. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorsey Harvella (Cobb) Mitter on November 25, 2013 and a brother Clyde Mitter. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 and Thursday, March 21, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1 pm, Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Field Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Masontown.
