Dear Benson Family,
We are truly sorry for the loss of your loved one. Please find comfort in knowing that God does not bring about the death of our loved ones. 1Corinthians 15:26 informs us that “The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death”. Yes, death is an enemy of God that he will soon do away with through the resurrection. John 5:28,29 tells us “Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth.” What will this mean for your family? A very happy reunion!!! We hope your family finds comfort and hope in these promises from God.

He loved to pick on people. If he knew we were at Chuck and Phyllis' he'd always come out too. The kids loved his canned hotdogs. I still have a quart in the pantry. He was looking forward to coming to Smokehole on the 18th for chili. He loved his family. His grandkids were his pride and joy. My husband has lost a brother. Prayers of comfort and peace knowing he is now pain free.

I grew up knowing and calling Clayton by the name of Clank. Anytime I could go down to his house, I would. Whether it was to play with my older cousin Parker or even just to be down there seeing him & Deb, that’s where I spent most of my childhood. He loved everyone in his family more than anything in this world. He would always be hunting or fishing any chance he got and he loved doing it even more when his family was around him. Clank was such a big storyteller. He would always tell stories about different things. Sometimes the stories would be something that actually happened, and other times they were just made up, but he thought they were real. He always put a smile on everyone’s face, no matter how upset you were that day. I’m extremely sad that God had to take him this early, but Clank isn’t suffering anymore and he was surrounded by his loving family when God decided it was time. Although I’m his great niece, I never considered him as a great uncle. I always considered him as a regular uncle & he was such an amazing one. He was the best friend, uncle, great uncle, husband, father, grandfather, brother, etc. that anyone could ever have in their life. We all miss you so much already & we love you more than you ever knew. Rest in Piece, Clank. (Don’t cause too much trouble up there in Heaven) -Love, your great niece, Desiree May❤️❤️❤️
