We met Jan and Dick in Shell Creek four years ago. Jan included me in everything social. She was my first friend there. We shopped together and had lots of coffee times.
I loved her smiling face as she arrived, on her bike for a visit. She was loved and will be missed. Love to you all. Edna and John.
PS. She will be laughing if I have made any grammatical errors.

Jan was such a fabulous person! She helped bring 3 of my 4 babies into the world, a gift that I will never forget! She also helped me through the loss of my first with tremendous compassion and love. She has a light that will never go out. It lives on in the family and friends she leaves behind, and in all of those glorious babies she personally welcomed into the world.

I was so sorry and saddened to hear of Jan's passing. We attended school together and we're good friends for many years. we both knew we wanted to be nurses and we both wanted to deliver babies. we went to different schools but kept in touch and as our careers progressed we got to see each other often attending seminars on birth ,midwifery, and babies. She was a kind beautiful person. Her soul shown through her eyes and her ever smiling face. I was honored to be included as a guest at her wedding to dick and we communicated through The years about her children and their lives as they moved around with Dick's job. We both were breast cancer survivors and often supported each other through that. I will miss her very much. May God bless you all and bring you some comfort and peace during this long journey facing a different normal as you move forward.

Spent many hours laughing with her husband Richard and her sister-in-law Vickie and brother-in-law Robin. And her beautiful daughters! She will be missed by all who loved her and all whose lives she touched. May she now rest in peace. Many prayers and thoughts to her family.

Remembering Jan.....There are thousands of memories......many very happy thoughts of our many years together. Jan has always been loving and kind....she has always been compassionate and caring......she has always been considerate of others and their opinions and comments. So, it is very easy to think of Jan as a most positive person who was always willing to provide a solution to my many questions.....and my family knows, I ask a lot of questions!! Jan....answered me carefully and thoroughly.....trying to calm my worries! I loved that Jan was always willing to listen....and always willing to ponder, and always willing to provide me with the best solution to my dilemmas of life. Jan always exhibited her best and always helpful qualities, even when we were young, we knew she would end up in a field of expertise where she would be helping others. She was destined to be a tremendous "helper" in this world!! AND.....we were the lucky recipients at a young age.....of her love and compassion....and expressions of care and support!! I have always loved her...and I always will love her. She will have a place in my heart for all eternity!! Lucky me....a sister and a friend...always and forever!

I did not know Jan though she was my blood cousin. My dad (Lloyd Dobbins) and her dad (George Dobbins) were brothers. All I have of her are childhood memories and playing with dolls. She loved babies even back then! From all that I've read and heard of her she seemed like a truely wonderful person. I feel it was my great loss not to have known her. May she rest in peace now that her physical suffering has ended. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family and friends and those who knew her well. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Jan had just started at the practice and I was pregnant with my third child. My former midwife was leaving and introduced me to her. Jan was great, more than a midwife. She always smiled , laughed, and joked even about herself, like the time she came in and shocked me with her hair bleached pure white. When I was having my daughter, she took me to her locker and presented me with a home made little hat for her. She even checked on me after I had her. I have thought of her kind ways often over the last twenty years , since my daughter’s birth.

There are so many wonderful memories it’s difficult to pick one. I don’t think they ever meet anyone who didn’t become a friend. For so many years they allowed me to be the third wheel. I got to hang with them on our trips. They become more than just friends, they became family. Jan became a sister to me. I love them both very much. I always called Jan my beautiful friend cause to me, she was the most beautiful person I ever met. She was beautiful outside and even more beautiful inside. She was smart, kind, loving, and funny. She touched the lives of so many, but for me, she was my best friend. My heart breaks that I can’t see her beautiful face again, but she will always live in my heart. She is an angel and her halo is shining brightly. Be at peace my beautiful friend, your work on earth is done.
