Please allow me to offer my deepest condolences on the loss of your husband. Leonard was my neighbor and one day he came over and asked me to go to the races at Morgantown Speedway. He was 17 and I was 10 and couldn’t believe he was asking me to go with him! I’ve never forgotten how much fun I had that day. He let me start his race car up and even move it a little. That was the beginning of my interest in fast cars! Leonard was a very kind person and a great role model for a young kid. He was a good person and always there to lend a helping hand as our neighbor. His memory will always be with me. My sincere sympathy to you and your family.

Reggie and family. For 60+ years my family and Leonard's were good friends. Kermit and Leonard were a mainstay in my childhood. My dad thought of Leonard like a son.I visited Leonard a couple months ago in Morgantown and for a solid hour he told me stories of their adventures. It was always about work with Leonard and I. You couldn't talk long though until he told you what a good wife and family he had and how special they were to him. When I got ready to go he told me how proud my dad would be and how proud he was of me. All the adversity he had faced and still concerning himself with the people around him. I will miss my big strong friend. I'm the one that is proud though, proud that he was my friend. Rest in peace.

Leonard was so special to me! He left us with so many happy memories. I loved spending time with him when he was in rehab. When I would ask him what I could bring him, he'd say, "Ice cream . ..the really good kind." Then, he would describe it. I loved him so much and I loved watching him savor every bite. He made it through so many things that I always said, " Leonard Wolfe has to have 9 lives!" He was such an amazing man, husband, & father!! We love you, Reggie, Rodney, Greg, Rochelle, & your families! You guys are amazing, terrific people who make this world a better place every single day. God bless the Wolfe family!!

This is a trying time in the life of all of us because our losses can't be shared with the gathering of many friends and acquaintances who would normally be present but please know that people who don't even know you or your family (like me) are praying for your comfort and peace. May our Lord be your all in all and wrap his arms snugly around you. You have our sympathies.

Reggie and Family, This is Pam (Wakefield) Hinton. My great grandfather, William Lohr, was a brother to Leonard's grandmother, Ida Lohr Wolfe. I'm so sorry to hear of Leonard's passing. I remember talking to Leonard 2 summers ago when I was notifying you all about the Lohr reunion and how much he wanted to attend but couldn't because of his health. I also noticed on Facebook a couple days ago, that my former classmate, James Baylor stated that he & Leonard were good friends (small world). Keeping you all in our prayers during this difficult time. The quarantine restrictions do make it harder during a time like this. My Uncle Carl Lohr died a couple weeks ago. My parents, Floyd (Buster) & Margie Wakefield , express their condolences as well.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wolfe Family at these trying times. We have had several occasions to meet and talk to Leonard due to his close relationship to his brother-in-law Frank. We have always respected his obvious love for his family and friends. Rest in peace, Leonard.

I had the honor of caring for Leonard when he was at Pierpont Center. He literally was my favorite resident there and would always brighten my day with his huge smile and his hidden candy stash. Every morning when I would take him breakfast he was waiting with his smile and a piece of hard candy. I will never forget Mr. Wolfe he was one of a kind man.

Leonard and I met on the basketball court when he as a point guard helped lead his team to some big wins over our T-Birds. We met again when his mother, Juanita and my wife were residents at Heartland Nursing Home. Juanita and Nancy visited each other, and got to know each other along with Reggie and Leonard. Juanita and Nancy’s mother Elaine Phillips Trickett were cousins. On behalf of the my wife Nancy and our family, we want to express our deepest condolences to Reggie and the Wolfe family for the loss of their beloved husband, father, and grandfather. May Leonard reunite with his beloved parents on the other side.
