Obituary of Shirley Ann Sterling

Shirley Ann Sterling, 82, of Reedsville, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Shirley was born on July 12, 1938, a daughter of the late William Gamble and Blanche (Rogers) Gamble. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Shirley is survived by a son Arthur "Chip" Sterling Jr of Reedsville; two daughters, Vicki Gamble of Reedsville and Elizabeth Mancuso and Chris of Morgantown; four grandchildren, Ryan Gamble and Heather of Reedsville, Chandra Mancuso, Abbigail Mancuso and Kimberly Mancuso, all of Morgantown; five great-grandchildren, L.J. Johnson, Brier Gamble, Tucker Gamble, Nahla Mancuso and Dominic Mancuso; a brother, Robert Gamble and Beulah of Masontown; four sisters, Betty Shaffer of Charlestown, Janet Nedrow and Allen, Joanne Nedrow and Dora Nicholson, all of Masontown and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur Sterling Sr. in 1997; three brothers, Howard Gamble, Charles Gamble and William "Cocky" Gamble and two sisters, Sue Ellen Gamble and Mary Elouise Gamble. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Monday, August 3, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1 pm, Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at the Field Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Masontown. Due to COVID-19, safety precautions will be taken, the social distancing 6-foot rule will be honored and all guests, whose health allows, are to wear a mask.
