Obituary of Bernice Galusky

Bernice Mary Galusky, 85, of Morgantown, WV died Saturday, December 13, 2008 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 10, 1923, the daughter of the late Charles and Blanch Wodzenski. She had attended the St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Morgantown. Bernice owned and operated Pioneer Rocks “ The Rocks “ for 65 years. She was a matriarch to all of her patrons. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Edward Paul Galusky; one daughter, Patty Pervola and husband Joe of Dellslow, WV; one son, Ed Galusky of Dellslow, WV; one sister, Tacy Messenger and husband Paul of Tunnelton, WV; three grandchildren, Theresa Bierer and husband Brian, Christel Pervola, and Joseph Pervola. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Joe, John and Benny Wodzenski and one sister, Virginia Wodzenski. Friends will be received at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. A Christian Wake service will be held at 7pm. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the Funeral Home with the Very Rev. Fr. Mark E. Ward, CP, VF officiating. Burial will follow at the Masontown Cemetery.
