Obituary of Edward Galusky

Edward Paul Galusky, 88, passed away Saturday January 9, 2010 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born April 10, 1921 in Poland, the son of the late Charles Galusky and Helen Chrzanowski Galusky. He was a local businessman who enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed gardening. He served his county in the US Marines. He is survived by one daughter Patty Pervola and husband Joe of Dellslow; one son Ed Galusky of Dellslow; one brother, Walter Galusky of Virginia; three grandchildren; Theresa Bierer and husband Brian, Christel Pervola, and Joseph Pervola and wife Trista. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Bernice Mary Galusky in 2008, two sisters, Josephine Slavick and Louise McCrobie, two brothers, Louis Galusky and Joe Galusky. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Monday, January 11, 2010 from 6 - 9 pm, and on Tuesday, January 12 from 2-8 pm . Services will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Wednesday January 13, 2010 with the Very Rev. Fr. Mark E. Ward, CP,VF officiating. Interment will follow in the Masontown Cemetery.
