Obituary of Catherine Elaine Galusky

Catherine Elaine Galusky, 86, of Bretz, WV passed away, Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at Monongalia General Hospital.

Catherine was born June 6, 1935, in Cascade, WV. She was one of five children of the late Francesco and Elma (Soccorsi) Lattanzi. She was a graduate of Masontown High School in Masontown, WV and went on to work as a waitress at Randolph's and McCrory's in downtown Morgantown, WV for many years. In 1975, at the birth of her first grandchild, Catherine transitioned into her role as a homemaker. She was a Catholic by faith and loved reality television.

She was preceded in death in 2017 by her husband of 63 years, Everett Duane Galusky. She is survived by her sister Diane (Tony) Sussmann, of Baton Rouge, LA, her brother Frank (Ann) Lattanzi, of Vienna, VA, her devoted son Marc Sean Galusky, of Bretz, WV and son Parrish Galusky, of Morgantown, WV; daughters, Kendra Ryan, of Kill Devil Hills, NC, and Erin Carter of John's Island, SC; six grandchildren, Kristi and Parker (Indra) Ryan, of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Andrew, Caprice, and Marshall Galusky of Morgantown, WV and Jordan Carter of Morgantown, WV; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Neal and Emma and Maddox Ryan, of Kill Devil Hills, NC, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul (Frances) Lattanzi of Morgantown, WV and her sister Lenora Lattanzi Doberstein of Masontown, WV.

Following a private memorial service, interment will be held at Masontown Cemetery. The family has entrusted Field Funeral Home of Masontown with arrangements.
