Obituary of Robert Ghuste
Robert William Ghuste, of Manown, died Saturday Jan. 30th, 2010 at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
Bob was an army veteran tank commander of the Korean War and was proud everyday to have served his country. He was an avid sports fan and cheered the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Cleveland Browns with enthusiasm. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and enjoyed supporting charitable events through motorcycle rides.
He is survived by a loving wife, Norma Lee Ghuste; three step-sons and spouses, Timothy Ellifritz, Terry and Tammy Ellifritz, and David and Martha Ellifritz; six grandchildren and spouses, Brandy and Steve Davis, Erika and Adam Myers, Tiffany Ellifritz, Stevi Ellifritz, Andrew Ellifritz, and Sarah Ellifritz; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Logan Davis; a brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Kay Holmes; a niece and nephew, Alan Holmes and Kelli Wanchick all of West Virginia, and a brother John Rapsky of Cleveland, OH. He is also survived by several close family friends and patrons of Your Tavern in Kingwood, WV.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Wanita C. Eddy and a sister-in-law, Nancy Rawson.
The Field Funeral Home in Masontown will provide cremation services.
A memorial motorcycle ride will be organized in the spring to pay respect and tribute to Bob.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions can be made to the Ronald McDonald House for the Childrens Hospital.
