Obituary of Othel Paul Richards

Othel Paul Richards, Jr., 69, of Bruceton Mills, WV, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022, at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh.

He was born in Parkersburg, WV on February 22, 1953, a son of the late Othel Paul Sr. and Flora (Daily) Richards.

Paul was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He attended and volunteered at the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Fairmont with the Tech team for 10 years. He worked as a machinist for Morgantown Machine and Hydraulic, a car salesman for The Car Connection in Reedsville and owned and operated The BBQ Ranch in Arthurdale. Paul enjoyed riding motorcycles in his spare time.

Paul is survived by his children, Jarrod Richards and wife Serena of Bruceton Mills, Karen Mackley and husband Mark of St. Augustine, FL; two stepdaughters, Sheena Peddicord and husband Bobby of Kingwood and Casey Liston of Morgantown; a stepson, Phil Conley; ten grandchildren and two brothers, David Richards of Kingwood and Dr. Phillip Richards and wife Linda of Buckhannan.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife Carol Ann Richards in 1992.

Friends may call at the Trinity Assembly of God Church, 70 Maranatha Drive, Fairmont, WV 26544, on Monday, May 9, 2022, from 4 – 7 pm and Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from 10 am until the 11 am service time with Pastor Wayde Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at the Grandview Cemetery in Fairmont.
