Obituary of Delores Loraine Taylor

Delores Loraine Taylor, 83, of Masontown, WV passed away, August 27, 2022, at the WV Caring facility in Elkins, WV. She was born on May 10, 1939, in Masontown, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Mary (Matlick) Johnson. Delores was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a hardworking homemaker and loved spending time with her family. Delores enjoyed working in her garden. She was always taking care of others, including stray animals. She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Lou Taylor of Masontown (with whom she made her home with until the day of her passing) and Kathy Jo Taylor of Accident, MD and one son, Lloyd John Taylor of Masontown; four grandchildren, Brandon Rehe and wife Amanda, Travis Stalnaker, Audrieanna Nicole Taylor and Willa Marlaine Taylor; three great grandchildren, Brayden Rehe, Oliver Rehe and Trenton Stalnaker and two brothers, Robert Johnson and wife Joyce and Jack Johnson all of Masontown, WV. In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Ray Taylor Sr.; two sons, Roger Lee Taylor and Willie Ray Taylor Jr.; one grandson, Thomas Thorne; and 10 brothers and sisters. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 4 -8 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11 am on Thursday, September 1, 2022, with Pastor Kelly Gamble officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory for WV Caring, PO Box 760 Arthurdale, WV 26520.
