He was born on November 9, 1934 in Clarksburg, WV, the son of the late David Sr. and Thelma Gillispie. He was a loving father, husband, brother and grandfather. He was a surveyor by profession for many years for Joe Mararra. He loved going to auctions and flea markets. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Juanita Myers Kesner Gillispie; three step-children and spouses, Jeff Kesner and wife Tina, Arthurdale, WV, Jerald Kesner, Arkansas and Jeanette Moran and husband Kenny, Kingwood, WV; one sister, Patricia and husband Alfred “Blondie” Liston, Morgantown, WV; a niece, Alicia and husband Dan Oliver, Westover, WV; eight step-grandchildren, Shawn Moran and wife Debby, Morgantown, WV, Stephanie Moran, Kingwood, WV, Brandon, Tracie, Jacob, Cody, Katelyn & Chaelyn Kesner and five step-great grandchildren, James, Austin, Jay Cress, Mary Fisher and Kaylee Moran. In addition to his parents is was preceded in death by his father-in-law, J.W. Myers; his mother-in-law Beulah Myers and four brother-in-laws, Donald Myers, Elwood Myers, Paul Myers and Dennis Myers. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, July 18, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2008 with the Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Cremation services are to follow.
