Obituary of Delores Marie Myers

Delores Marie Myers, 60, of Masontown, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Morgantown, WV on December 13, 1961, a daughter of the late Dorsey Edward and Dorothy Mae (Shaw) Shingleton. Delores was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She enjoyed camping, fishing, coloring and picture puzzles. She also enjoyed drinking coffee and spending time with her best friend Kathy Helmick and her pets. Delores worked for several years as a CNA at many assisted living facilities. She is survived by two daughters, Kelly Shaffer and Melissa Marth and husband Michael, and a bonus daughter, Melissa Howell; five grandchildren, Alleigha Shaffer and companion Christopher Brown, Aaron Swope, Alyisa Shaffer, Ashton Shaffer and Zoe Shaffer; one great grandchild, Tavien Brown; one brother, Cleo Marsh and wife Ruth of FL; four sisters, Rita Tasker and husband Richard, Betty Cartwright, Carolyn Murray and Robin Blosser and husband Dennis all of Reedsville; her companion, Gilbert Blosser and his daughter, Heidi Moran and son Robert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth E. Shingleton and one brother-in-law, Larry Cartwright. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 10:00 am until the 12:00 pm time of service with Pastor John Henry officiating.
